Meet Sue …
Born In: Jefferson, Iowa
Lives in: Tucson, Arizona, since 1986.
- University of Phoenix: Masters of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner
About Me: I’ve been a nurse since 1975! My original motivation to pursue a career in nursing, was based on the unfortunate situation of seeing my uncle die of pancreatic cancer.
One of the highlights of my career: I was involved on the Cardiothoracic OR team that did the 1st Berlin Heart implant on a pediatric patient in the US. That was before there were civilian helicopters doing medical transports. To date, I have 23 years of experience in Aeromedical transport as a Flight Nurse.
I drive a fully electric Nissan Leaf, I have a life-long passion for helping people, love music, architecture, and traveling.
Did You Know? My first job was in grandfather’s hardware store and love using tools and learning how things work. I still buy family Christmas presents at hardware stores, LOL!
I would like to be known by my patients as the nurse with a caring face and gentle touch.
